As we celebrate the outstanding performance of the 2022 K.C.S.E class, the Immanuels, we are deeply grateful to God for this achievement despite the Covid-19 global pandemic that greatly disrupted our Country’s academic programs from March, 2020.
This class, the Immanuels, had only one full academic calendar in Form one in 2019 before being interrupted by this health pandemic. Consequently, school terms were shortened and the academic calendar was so rigorous that each calendar year would have four terms of learning. For this impressive performance of the Immanuels, we thank God the Almighty. Our firm and humble belief in Him bore fruits and today we are here to celebrate His continuous mercy, guidance, protection and honor. We attribute our achievements to God. In Moi High School-Kabarak, we devote all our activities to the glory of God.
I compliment the School Administration, the teaching and non-teaching staff for their individual and collective responsibility in ensuring that the curricular and co-curricular activities go on well in school in line with the Moi High School – Kabarak core mandate as envisioned by the Second President of the Republic of Kenya, His Excellency Daniel Toroitich arap Moi in 1979. You have achieved this due to hard work, teamwork and discipline based on strong Christian principles.
The 2022 K.C.S.E class was diligent, committed, cooperative, dedicated, and persistent, never gave up, paid attention to minor details and above all, prayed to God to grant them the desires of their hearts. This is evidenced by the splendid results that they posted. Out of 351 candidates, 99.145% of them are transitioning to the university. We, the Moi High School-Kabarak family are grateful to God for this feat. We echo Psalm 115:1 Saying “Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” I challenge this year’s candidates, the Jonathans, to work even harder and smarter so as to achieve a hundred percent transition rate to the university. It is possible.
To the continuing students, I encourage you to emulate the 2022 K.C.S.E class, bearing in mind that you have a greater challenge to break if not maintain their record. The results that the 2022 class achieved indicate the great potential that you have. Identify the opportunities available in this great school and exploit your potential. From today onwards decide to move forward because you have a date with a great destiny, move beyond your limitations. Your presence in class, discussion amongst yourselves, consultation with the teachers and amongst yourselves, and punctuality at all times are the ingredients for the best academic yields.
The Board of Trustees and Board of Directors have played a significant role of ensuring that all the stakeholders of this institution’s needs are met by adequately resourcing the school and tirelessly offering sound advice to the school management. I also commend the parents and guardians for their continuous support to the school and for working hand in hand with the teachers so that the learner reaps the maximum benefit from the institution. Thank you dear parents and guardians for trusting Moi High School-Kabarak with your sons and daughters.
Finally, I would also want to pay special tribute to our Patron and Founder, His Excellency, Daniel Toroitich arap Moi, CGH., The Second President of the Republic of Kenya for his foresight in establishing such a great school that caters for the educational needs of the Kenyan child and beyond. This has enabled much youth from various parts of this country to get an opportunity to not only acquire knowledge but live together as brothers and sisters as they embrace love and unity, and secondly, for being a great source of inspiration, encouragement and standing with us all the time. Though physically gone, we know in our hearts that Mzee’s legacy lives on through the special attention that he paid to education in Kenya. Many in various spheres of life owe their success to the vision that Mzee had for the Kenyan child. H.E Daniel T. arap Moi knew that an educated mind is one of the most valuable resources to have in life. I am deeply grateful to Mzee Moi’s family, represented by the Board of Directors Chairman, Hon. Senator Gideon Moi, for advancing their father’s vision in this model school with a brand name.
I do wish this year’s candidates (The Jonathans) good health and sound mind as they undertake their final lap in their second stage of learning. The Immanuels have set the pace, we do believe you will keep the fire burning and set another record.
May Moi High School-Kabarak continue rising as per our motto On Earth We Rise for the glory of God.
