Mr. Jonathan Juma, H.o.D – Technical and Applied.Seven years shy of the vision 2030 timelines; Kenya is still lagging behind in skills endowment. As Moi High School Kabarak department of Technical and Applied subjects, we complement skills learned in class with practical skills in the field. These skills equip our students with self-independent approaches to life. Such skills include Computer application skills, Agri-business skills, Home economics and hospitality skills.

The Technical and Applied Department is one of the key Departments at Moi High School Kabarak.

The subjects offered in the department include; Computer Studies, Home Science and Agriculture

The school has various facilities to enable learners to equip themselves with various practical skills All the subjects, in the department, have continued to post good results in National examinations (over the years). Indeed, in 2022, Computer studies posted the highest mean score in the school. A mean of 11.98 A, followed by Home science with a mean of 11.83 A and Agriculture at 11.29 A-, all the students scoring above B.

These are mainly practical subjects and the teachers expose the students to many practicals to equip them with the practical skills and knowledge to enhance self-relevance after school. The teachers prepare students for advanced studies in technical and applied subjects for career development. this will enable our students to adapt to a technologically oriented world.
